Dan Kaufman

Dan is originally from New Jersey. He came to Colorado with his Family in 1979.
After spending 10 years in the food and beverage business, he decided to switch industries and started to sell cars. Dan has been successfully selling Hondas since 1997 and has helped thousands of customers over the years into their next car.
In his spare time Dan enjoys watching Baseball and loves to Ski or prepare any of his famous home made soups.
John Raad

If you are a character with character, John Raad is the guy you’ll want to help find your next car. John has been “Mr. Mom” for the last five years staying at home with his kids. We’re most excited about John’s 30 years of car sales experience. John comes to Planet Automotive from Long Island sharing his extensive knowledge in brands such as Volvo and BMW.
As a sales guy, John is knowledgeable and thorough. He understands customers and works to match their needs to the proper vehicle. If you couple his experience in luxury brands with his passion for quality, reputation, and reliability, you get someone who knows that the little extras make the driving experience exciting and long-lasting.
Driving his 2rd Honda Odyssey, we asked John if he would ever stop driving a Honda. He said no. He loves the Odyssey because it so easily fits his family needs. He loves to RV in the summers with his family and spends a lot of time with his kids, making sure to teach them his most valued lesson from his parents: in all you do be fair and kind.
Kitty Baum

Kitty joined the Planet Automotive family in November 2011. A transplant from San Diego, California Kitty found herself escaping to Colorado to avoid high traffic, the cost of living, and to enjoy a variety of seasons. Kitty has prior work experience in consulting and HR, and has sold Acura and Honda vehicles since 1997. Kitty loves Honda and their luxury counterpart Acura. She informed us, “If Honda didn’t exist I wouldn’t be selling cars – I’ve owned 15.”
Having logged many hours in San Diego traffic, to Kitty, drive time is an experience: not just a way you get to a job and back. She wants to help customers find their groove car – the car that says “I-may-not-have-a-convertible,-but-when-I-drive-I-still-feel-the-wind-in-my-hair-and-sun-on-my-back.”
When Kitty’s not spending time selling cars, she’s bound to be exploring the fun mountain roads in her Acura TSX. She loves to spend her time volunteering at animal shelters. If she does ever get home (and is not passionately cooking something tasty), she’s probably reading the inspirational works of Jim Rohn.
Pat Cromer

Recently implanted from Carlisle and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Pat Cromer has a unique background. Having previously sold medical journal advertising, Pat shifted into selling cars about 7 years ago. He has been making Planet Honda a brighter place for the past 9 months.
A very genuine guy, Pat recognizes that cars are part of a necessity, but they can also be fun when matching a customer’s driving technique with a certain car technology. He’ll help find one that practical and fast vehicle, and then another a safe and reliable solution for a family, all depending on what each of their needs are.
Anyone who knows Pat well knows he has a favorite saying: “It is what it is.” And, although he would love to say he’s most like a Ferrari (the coolest cat on the market), he’d probably say “it is what it is” because his pragmatic and logical side makes him more like an Accord -- practical and reliable.
Pat enjoys selling a car to a family. Having young kids himself, he knows most vehicles travel the roads with cargo more precious than any of the latest fads. He prides himself in knowing he sells a quality and safe vehicle to whomever he works with.
If Pat’s not driving his Honda Pilot through the mountains fly fishing and snowboarding, he’s at home with his wife and kids enjoying a fun-filled family evening.
Mary Sagona

Mary is originally from Long Island, NY. She graduated from SUNY at Bufallo with a BA in education and anthropology.
During a visit to Colorado she fell in love with the state, moved and began teaching school. Mary decided to switch careers. Her persistency landed her a job at the dealership 24 years ago when it was not common to have females working in the sales department. Her number one priority is customer satisfaction. As a matter of fact, she runs Hondas Excell program “exceeding customer’s expectation levels for life”. Since 1987 Mary has been driving Hondas. These have to be parked when she is trying to accomplish her bucket list of visiting the 7 modern wonders of the world.
Being proficient in Spanish has helped her tremendously during these trips. Her other passions include one husband and six children (all have four legs and a tail). These include 2 Shiba Inus, a Siberian Husky and three Ponies.
Ed Mueller

Ed is originally from Chicago, Illinois: he followed he brother out here to Colorado in 1978. After a combined 20 years in food and construction, Ed launched his own automotive body shop. In 1993 Ed made the switch to automotive sales due to his admiration of the Honda brand. He earned respect for the Honda brand during this time in his life because of how fast the Hondas sold at his shop.
Ed has been with Planet since the beginning and has seen the company grow and change with owners Lee and Olga Payne. He still remembers the day she sold the first Honda Odyssey at the dealership. As a sales person, Ed is excellent with customers who need basic transportation on a budget. He’s the go-to guy for finding affordability and comfortability mixed with little lifestyle luxuries that make driving a car fun. To Ed, it doesn’t matter if you live on a budget: there’s a car out there that can make driving more than a task, but instead, part of a great adventure.
If Ed’s not at work or at CostCo finding free tasty samples, he’s spending time with his loving family. He’s the kind of guy who lives by the mantra “do the right thing,” and he strives to create a non-intimidating and genuine atmosphere.
Cheryl Rousch

After retiring from a 20-year career in the US Army, Cheryl joined the world of car sales (this was 11 years ago). She’s been making Planet Honda a better place since she started here two years ago. Though she says the world of car sales was not necessarily a calling, she considers it a happy accident.
Cheryl recognizes that every person has a unique motivation for liking a particular car. She enjoys helping people find out what is most important in a car purchase and finding the vehicle that fits that particular need the best. In her sister’s case, Cheryl says, it’s all about the cup holder. If her sister’s cup doesn’t fit in the holder, she’s not going to purchase the car. Quirky as it may be, she stands behind her sister’s decision because it’s about finding the small things that make a customer happy.
On a test drive, Cheryl likes to point out the small little extras on a car. She doesn’t want a customer to discover something 3 years down the road and think, “Well, no one told me about that!”
Worried about how all your gear will fit in a vehicle? Talk with Cheryl. Currently driving her own CR-V, she considers herself a master packer for off-road and camping adventures.
If she’s not exploring the outdoors, she’s at home with a book. She told us, “If it’s a book, I’ll read it.” She has in the past shared her passion for literacy through touring elementary and adult reading classes. Perhaps it’s the influence of one of her most read individuals, the Dali Lama, which keeps her living up to the expectation that life is about joy and optimism.
Jim Cannon

Like James Tiberius Kirk, James Cannon actually likes to go by Jim. After retiring from a naval career, he worked his way through all the car sales ranks in finance, sales, business development, and management. Jim has sold cars for 22 years with Ford, Toyota, Kia, Hyundai, and Dodge and more. Because he knows the competition so well, we were glad to take him on at Planet Honda 6 months ago.
To Jim, car sales are about the people. He enjoys everyone that walks through the door and sits at his desk. He likes to listen to customers, and he really find out what is important to them.
Comparing himself to an Accord, Jim thinks of himself as a reliable guy who likes to enjoy the ride. He spends time with his family and wonderful grandchildren when he’s not working. Jim also loves playing baseball in the summer, and he takes it upon himself to live with honor in everything he does, whether it be work or play.
Arman Sadati

Skilled in computer programming from database structure to Oracle, Arman entered the car industry shortly after September 2001. He is diligent about working hard for everything he does, and because of this, he has worked through the ranks of the industry and has become quite the successful car businessman. Arman joined Planet Honda about 9 months ago.
As a sales guy, Arman enjoys helping customers find that piece of metal that acts as more than transportation: it is instead a solution to the tasks that begin each day. He wants his customers to drive quality cars that meet their daily needs, whether that is better MPG, low maintenance, or a great resale value.
If Arman is not at work, he’s still working. He’s the type of guy that likes to get out and ride. Dedicating much of his time to the care and research of horses, Arman likens himself to a heavy duty diesel -- strong enough to get knocked off a horse, and driven enough to get back on.
Albert Cohen

Albert has a unique background in women’s fashion. Since he has owned a wholesale couture store in Paris, Albert certainly understands what real style and class is. When he came to the United States he owned his own fashion shop in Cherry Creek. Although Albert enjoyed the industry, he eventually was recruited into car sales. Albert has been selling cars now for 12 years. Before we picked him up here at Planet, he was selling Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and BMW vehicles.
Albert recognizes cars as another means to enjoy what style has to offer in multiple facets of life. Even though his practical side believes cars are meant to get you from point A to point B safely, he still enjoys the purr of an engine, the sleek design, and the fit and finish that make a ride comfortable.
Although Albert enjoys a good Ferrari, one of his favorite cars to look at is a Cobra. He enjoys the classy car with a design history. He loves to help customers find the vehicle that will surprise them and take car-buying from a necessary evil to an accessory to style.
For the past 15 years (when Albert’s not working), he’s been pouring his passion into a foundation that his mother-in-law started. It’s called the Nunez Foundation, and it helps give scholarships to talented and intelligent students whose parents may not be able to afford college. Albert’s life motto is this: “Yesterday is gone and tomorrow might not come, so enjoy the present.”
Chad Hicken

Having grown up working the farm in a small town, Chad decided the big city was the place for him. For 15 years, Chad made his living working with electronics. The past 12 years, he’s dedicated his career to his passion for the ultimate electronic – cars.
To Chad, a car is more than simple transportation. It is part of a necessary style, flair, and adventure of life. He enjoys helping customers find the vehicles that fit their personalized lifestyle. If a person is looking for a car with the perfect luggage rack for his/her camping or ski gear – Chad is there to help. He considers himself the accessory king, and helps each customer customize and personalize the car of their dreams.
Chad enjoys taking customers from seeing a car as a necessary expense to a personalized and fun part of the journey.
If he’s not out at the shooting range, gym, lake (for water skiing), or fly fishing, he’s barreling through the snow in his H2 hummer saying, “Go big or go home.”
Kenmaura Hughes

Kenmaura chose car sales 15 years ago after a tough decision to leave law. Even though she completed all of the hard work getting into the right schools, she made the switch knowing she could not see herself advocating for big corporations to avoid taxes regarding environmental issues. She is happy she has joined Planet Honda, and takes pride in the fact that the company’s practices support a greener world.
Kenmaura considers herself a little bit of a “gear head” because she’s fascinated with the technology and the mechanics of vehicles. As she pulls up a picture of a Bugatti Veyron, she says she finds modern engineering to be utterly amazing and beautiful.
Living in Colorado, Kenmaura fits comfortably in the mountains. The outdoors is her backyard and she loves using her vehicle to reach places that people would never be able to reach alone. When we asked her what vehicle she explores the great outdoors with, all she had to say was, “My dog taxi.” Her dog loves it, that’s good enough for her.
When she isn’t advocating for animal shelters and children’s hospitals, she’s cleaning, exploring outdoors, and baking up a storm hoping to achieve her goal of doing one thing each day that scares her.
Dave Molyneux

Dave jumped into car sales in 1973 to put himself through college. Moving around from California to Colorado, Dave has gained a wide range of knowledge and experience in car sales. For a time, he also worked for SGS (SGS is the vehicle lease end inspection company). He also has leased 60 personal vehicles over the life of his career and knows how each of the brands has compared through the ages. Through his travels, Dave acquired a strong admiration for the Honda brand. This newfound admiration compelled him to join Planet Honda approximately 2 years ago.
Dave is a “car guy” and has always been one. As an encyclopedia of cars, he recounted a story of when his children were younger. When a car would come around the corner, Dave would tell the kids exactly what make and model it was. As the kids aged, they wanted to test his skill and would make him guess just on the sound of the passing vehicle. He’d accurately tell them the car type, and maybe get lucky every once in a while and guess the color too!
Having known many loyal Honda drivers, Dave’s new favorite car is the Honda CR-V or Honda Accord EX-L V6 (yes, you’d have to expect for it to be detailed with Dave). To him, these cars have incredible economy and practicality. The new designs have also made these cars fun. Fun, he says, is his highest priority when it comes to cars.
When Dave is not working, you may find him volunteering with the Denver Rescue Mission or the Mean Streets of Lakewood. He also may be getting his hands dirty in his garden or cruising around town on his motorcycle. Inspired by J.F.K’s famous quote, “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your county,” Dave is the type of guy who is more likely to jump in and help than to expect to receive help from another.
Katie Thorshiem

Having close to a PhD in environmental soil studies (with a specialty in arid land), Katie traveled the United States making the world operate just a little greener for everyone. Recently tiring of her travels, Katie decided she wanted to permanently settle in Colorado. She chose to jump into automotive sales for one unique reason – she’d been sold a dud once in her life, and she wanted to know how to avoid that in the future (and of course, how to tell others how to avoid that!). She chose to join Planet Honda just 9 months ago.
Intrigued by the cultural attachment to vehicles, Katie also sees cars as an enabling asset. Vehicles can, after all, enable or hinder exploration of our beautiful state and all of the nature that surrounds it.
Katie travels many of the back roads and dirt roads of Colorado to help map our state. Her passion for the outdoors enables her to help customers find that 4WD vehicle that will nurture a love for nature with each new exploration.
Katie spends most of her time “digging” when she’s not working. She loves the ground, and cooks the things it produces. She is an animal and history lover, and has written a book about the historic boxcar district of Golden.
John Riashi

John is currently a sales manager at Planet Honda. He enjoys cars because they’re always changing. He recognizes the multiple facets of cars for people: from fun and pleasure to business and transportation.
John considers himself a classy guy and enjoys helping customers find the best car for the value. Currently he drives a Mercedes because he enjoys the way they drive.
He also finds time to volunteer whenever possible. When he’s not working, he’s simply enjoying life living by his creed, “Live life to its fullest.”
