The New 2016 Honda Civic Type-R in The U.S.A
Many of us know that the 10th generation of the Honda Civic was introduced to the world through the concept vehicle that was revealed on April Fool’s Day. Fortunately it was no joke, the people were asked what they wanted, finally, and it was once again reiterated that people want to the Honda Civic Type-R in the U.S. This time, much to the surprise of performance enthusiasts, the answer was yes, Honda has confirmed the new 2016 Honda Civic Type-R in the U.S.A. This will be the first time that such a Civic graces the roads of the United States. The performance version of the Civic has been around around since 1997. To come along with this is a 1.5L turbo engine option for the Civic. More importantly, the Type-R comes with a 2.0L turbo VTEC that puts out 310 horsepower, at least in Europe. We can’t see why Honda would go and change that for us, unless they wanted to give us something even more powerful. The engine makes it one of the most powerful front-wheel drive hatchbacks that you can find on the road. And let’s not forget how cool Honda made it look to drive the Type-R in that innovative ad that they made a few months ago. Though you won’t be taking down criminals as an undercover police officer, you will have be behind the wheel of an impressive vehicle that still has the R button which helps to send you rocketing down the roads. This will be a heavy hitter among the hot hatch group that continues to grow and we are eagerly awaiting it’s arrival and more information on costs, specifications and any of the potential package options that might come with it. We expect to hear more when the 2016 Honda Civic is debuted in the fall.
