The 10th generation of the Honda Accord offers drivers some new additions to bolster its legend as one of the finest and most dependable sedans on the market. The 2018 Honda Accord features some big changes, including some added power and performance thanks to two new available turbocharged engines.
New 2018 Honda Accord Features Two New Turbocharged Engine Options
New VTEC Turbo® 1.5-liter, DOHC direct-injected inline-4 engine
The new Turbocharged 1.5-Liter In-Line 4 Cylinder offers drivers 192 horsepower and 192 lb.-ft. of torque. The new engine features a Dual VTC and VTEC valvetrain, a low inertia mono-scroll turbo system with an electric wastegate and a computer-controlled Direct Injection with high-flow fuel injectors, and as a result, is more powerful than ever. When equipped with the available CVT transmission, the EPA estimates the Accord will get 38 highway miles per gallon (except Sport trim)*.
New VTEC Turbo® 2.0-liter, DOHC direct-injected inline-4 engine
The new Turbocharged 2.0-Liter In-Line 4 Cylinder offers drivers 252 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque. The new engine features a Dual VTC and VTEC valvetrain, a low inertia mono-scroll turbo system with an electric wastegate and a computer-controlled Direct Injection with high-flow fuel injectors, and as a result, is also more powerful than ever. The 2.0-liter engine offers 33 percent more displacement than the 1.5-liter engine. EPA fuel economy ratings are not yet available for the 2018 Honda Accord.
