Pilot or Highlander: Interior Space

When choosing a family SUV, one of the first things you’ll look at is how roomy the cabin space is. While both of the Pilot and Highlander can seat up to 8 passengers, there’s more room for everyone to ride comfortably in the Honda with its 152.9 cubic feet of passenger space, compared to the 144.9 cubic feet of the Toyota. IN addition, third-row passengers in the Pilot will enjoy 57.6 inches of shoulder room. The Highlander offers just 55 inches.

Another consideration for Golden drivers is cargo capacity. Behind the rear seats in the Pilot, there’s 16.5 cubic feet, plenty of room to carry a load of groceries from Natural Grocers. In the Highlander, there’s only 13.8 cubic feet available behind the rear seats. With all seats folded down, the Pilot can provide a maximum of 83.9 cubic feet of cargo space, to the 83.7 cubic feet of the Highlander.
